| Summary: |
We report a case of patient with primary frontal sinus
carcinoma. Clinical symptoms of that tumor were typical for primary lesion of the orbit.
Primary carcinomas of the paranasal sinuses and especially of the frontal sinus are
extremely rare. We present symptoms, results of radiological examinations and performed
treatment. Because two kinds of neoplasm were found on histological examination: squamous
cell carcinoma and inverted papilloma, we present characteristical features of inverted
papilloma too (tendency for malignancy, destruction surrounding structures, metastases to
lungs). |
