| Summary: |
The aim of this study was the retrospective analysis of
static visual field examination indices as well as ONH laser tomogrpfy and scanning laser
polarimetry parameters as a disease progression criteria in primery open glaucoma.
Material and methods: Outpatient glaucoma clinic data records of 47 subjects were
evaluated (POAG, OH and glaucoma observed). All the patient have undergone at least 3
examinations in the intervals of 8-10 months: static perimetry (Octopus, G2), ONH laser
tomography (Heidelberg Retina Tomograph) and scanning laser polarimetry (GDx).
Results: From the evaluated groups of subjects we extracted patient in which ONH laser
tomogrphy and scanning lase polarymetry results have influenced the modification of
therapy decision. In these patients visual field marked no progression and IOP level was
on target level.
Conclusion: Subjective examinations (static perymetry) and objective diagnostic tests (RT,
GDx) in composition increase the accuracy of diagnostic and therapeutic decisions. |
