Aim: Quantitative and qualiitative of tear
film in patients with seasonall allergic conjunctivitis.
Material and methods: The study was conducted in 28 patients (56 eyes)
with SAC in the period without symptoms. Quaantitative and qualitative composition of
tears was determined. Schirmer test, Break Up Time test, Fern test were performed.
Results: In 63% of patients disturbances in the aqueous layer of tears
were noted (incorrect Schirmer test), as well as shortening of Break Up Time and Incorrect
Fern test resalts (in 59% patients).
Conclusions: In patients with seasonal allergic conjunctivitis
quantitative and qualitative tear film composition disturbances were foud. These
disturbances make removal on allrgens difficult. |
