| Summary: |
The Heidelberg Retina
Tomograph is a confocal laser scanning microscope
designed for in vivo three-dimensional imaging of the
posterior segment of the eye. It enables quantitative
measurement of the optic nerve head topography. This new
imaging device may be beneficial in the diagnosis and
monitoring of glaucoma patients. The authors describe
benefits and limitations with regard to imaging
mechanisms, sensitivity, and clinical applications. |
