Correction of corneal astigmatism with limbal relaxing incisions method in the course of phacoemulsification

Summary: Purpose: In this work the limbal relaxing incision method of astigmatism correction in the course of phacoemulsification was presented. The indications, patient selection and preoperativte workup were described. The attention was also drawn to technique overview, complications and postoperative care.
Material and methods: The evaluation of this method was made by our experience and the other authors works.
Conclusions: Limbal relaxing incisions in the course of phacoemulsification are safe and effective method of corneal astigmatism correction.
