| Summary: |
The methods of elementary
vitreous evaluation using optical devices and patient
self control proposed by Litwin were presented in part
I. But in some cases the results of clinical examination
can be unequivocal. The photographic registration is
difficult and needs high professional qualifications.
The objective methods like ultrasound examination based
on reflection of ultrasound wave from denses structures
and optical coherence tomography (OCT) complete the
vitreous body observation.
The ultrasound method permits to achive the section
through whole vitreous in different projections and to
show i. e blood clots, fibrine, posterior detachment,
retinal operculum, foreign bodies- its localization and
mobility. The easy registration is the advantage of this
examination. The optical coherence tomography (OCT)
shows, first of all, the state of vitreous body, (i. e.
adherence), in posterior pole. It is possible to
visualize the deepest parts of vitreous too. The results
of examination can be easily registrated and used for
further analysis.
Ultrasounds and optical laser interferometry (OCT) are
the valuable complementation for optical rutine methods
of vitreous body evaluation. |
