| Summary: |
Prostaglandin analogues
are the newest group of drugs used in glaucoma and
ocular hypertension treatment. They have an unique
mechanism of action leading to increasing an outflow
facility instead of inhibiting aqueous humor production.
This is better from physiological point of view. What is
more, they give the strongest hypotensive effect and few
topical and systemic side effects. They are very useful
in effective fight against this group of illnesses like
glaucomatous neuropathy. |
