Refractive surgery is well
established among adults, but its use in children
remains controversial, and can evoke strong opposition.
This paper presents the general review of paediatric
refractive surgical procedures, which may play a role in
treating carefully selected children with anisometropic
amblyopia where traditional therapy has failed. The
authors present also their own results of 2 cases of
LASIK in children with amblyopic unilateral mixed
astigmatism. |
