| Summary: |
Prostaglandins form a
complex system of biological mediators which are
involved in inflammatory processes regulation.
Understanding biology is helpful in understanding the
potential and profile of drugs influencing physiological
and pathological processes. Nonsteroidal
anti-inflammatory drugs have been shown to inhibit
prostaglandin formation through inhibition of the
cyclooxygenase pathway, thereby influencing biological
responses. |
