| Summary: |
Tractional maculopathy is
a group of retinal diseases consisting of cellophane
maculopathy, macular pucker, macular hole and tractional
syndrome. ILM assisted pars plana vitrectomy is a
procedure of treatment used in such cases. Indocyanine
green, trypane blue and other dyes are used to improve
visualization of ILM. Their application during
vitrectomy is called chromovitrectomy. We are presenting
current opinions about this procedure. Special pressure
is put on advantages and adverse events of particular
dyes. |
