In this paper we present a
31-years old man with high myopia with implanted phakic
intraocular lenses (IOL) I-CARE to correct refractive
error. Post operative visual aquity was 1.0 without
correction. In 1-year observation there were no
complications. In discussion we take a closer look on
qualification criteria for this type of intraocular
refractive surgery. We stress the need of intraocular
distances measurements which are necessary to adequate
phakic IOL sizing. They can be accurately obtained for
example by a new anterior segment optical coherent
tomography system Visante-OCT. |
