| Summary: |
Posterior capsule rupture
during phacoemulsification is the most serious
intraoperative complication. In this paper types of
openings, risk factors for occurrence and clinical
symptoms of posterior capsule rupture were presented.
The possibilities of further treatment (stabilization of
the anterior segment of the eye status, anterior
vitrectomy, continuation of phacoemulsification and
conversion to ECCE) were discussed in details.
Techniques of various types of IOL implantation and its
stable fixation were also presented. |
