Summary: The aim of this study is to present the OCT images of selected cases of choroidal and retinal tumors.
Case presentation – 5 patients: 4 males, 1 female, aged 16-81 years. 2 cases were diagnosed with choroidal nevus, 1 – with choroidal melanoma, 2 other – with astrocytoma. In all cases the entire ophthalmic examination, B-scan ultrasonography and OCT were performed (Stratus OCT 3000, Carl Zeiss Meditec, Dublin, CA, USA). In selected cases the fluorescein and/or indocyanine green angiography were also performed.
Conclusions – OCT is a useful technique in the diagnosis and monitoring of proliferative choroidal lesions, however, due to its technical limitations it should always be concerned as a complementary examination. OCT allows for a structural analysis of overlying retina and in some cases defines precisely the exact cause of visual loss.

Key words: choroidal tumors, OCT, choroidal nevus, uveal melanoma.
