| Summary: |
The aim of the study is to
present a case of 60-years old male patient suffering
from ataxy, dizziness and numbness of the left side of
the face and body. B-cell malignant lymphoma of the
brain was diagnosed. Three months after diagnosis his
vision of the both eyes decreased. Visual acuity
decrease, vitritis, retinal infiltrations and swollen
optic disc were also found during examination in both
eyes. Systemic chemiotherapy resulted in lesion
regression in eyes and visual acuity improved.
Ophthalmoscopy showed partial optic nerve atrophy in the
left eye.
Conclusions: Vitritis, retinitis and papillitis may be
the manifestation of the primary intraocular lymphoma or
the central nervous system lymphoma. Systemic treatment
can lead to the ocular symptoms resolution. |
