Symptoms of ocular
allergies are one of the most common pathologies which
need chronic treatment. The main treatment is
pharmacological, but there are also situations when a
surgery must be performed due to side effects of chronic
allergic inflammation or due to complications resulting
from our treatment. In this paper we present several
indications for surgery in ocular allergy, e.g.: removal
of large papillae – cutting out or kriotherapy, amniotic
membrane transplantation, plastic surgery of the eyelids,
PTK and surgery of the cornea (stem cell transplantation,
LKP, PKP) |
