| Summary: |
The aim of the paper is to
present modern methods of intraocular lens power
calculation with special focus on clinically difficult
cases including: high myopia and hyperopia, conditions
following corneal refractive surgery, keratoplasty,
retinal detachment surgery. Correct lens power
calculation requires good history taking, target
refraction determination, keratometry, axial length
measurement and proper calculation formulas use.
In atypical cases, keratometry and axial length
measurements should be corrected based on own knowledge
and clinical experience. |
