| Summary: |
The aim of the work was to
present the ophtalmologic symptoms present in patients
with paraneoplastic neurological syndromes, PNS.
Cancer-associated retinopathy, CAR is a rare disease
which results in retinal photoreceptors damage, which is
the consequence of the immunological reaction between
retinal antigens and antibodies directing against them.
It is most often met in the course of small cell lung
cancer but it can also appear in people with colon
cancer, breast cancer, stomach cancer and other types of
cancer. |
