| Summary: |
Serpiginous choroidopathy
is a chronic inflammatory chorioretinopathy which
extends from the optic disc to macula and peripheral
retina in a helicoid or geographic pattern. The
management depends on the disease stage and neovascular
membrane presence. Systemic immunosuppression is the
mainstay of treatment in active stage. We report a case
of patient with serpiginous choroidopathy, that was
complicated by neovascular membrane treated with
photodynamic therapy, transpupillary thermotherapy,
intravitreal Avastin and Lucentis injection and
photocoagulation. |
