Aging changes in the
periorbital region may include descent of the eyebrows,
the development of excess eyelid skin, hernation of
orbital fat, degenerative changes of the thin eyelid
skin. Blepharoplasty is a popular technique for eyelid
rejuvenation. Removal of excess skin, muscle and fat is
usually performed as part of blepharoplasty surgery.
Authors discuss blepharoplasty role in periorbital
rejuvenation, provide some information about patient
selection, preoperative evaluation, surgical technique
and complications of blepharoplasty surgery. |
