| Summary: |
Age-related macular
degeneration and Graves’ orbitopathy can lead to
temporary or permanent damage of the visual organ. We
don’t know effective methods of treatment therefore many
researches have been done to prove the efficiency of
radiotherapy. New irradiation techniques development
allows to improve the critical organs protection and
decrease the risk of severe radiation injuries. During
last years there many investigations have been conducted
to asses the efficacy of the radiotherapy in the age-
related macular degeneration and Graves orbitopathy
treatment. The aim of the study is to present the role
of the contemporary radiation therapy used in these
nonneoplasmatic diseases. |
