| Summary: |
Fast development of
ophthalmology in the recent years is associated with new
technologies used in ocular diseases diagnostics and
treatment. The purpose of this study is to summarize the
state-of-the-art knowledge about modern intraocular
lenses (IOLs) models, including: blue-blocking lenses,
aspheric lenses (aberration-corrected and aberration
correcting lenses), multifocal, toric lenses and
accommodative lenses.
New IOLs models can potentially help to achieve better
functional results and improve patients’ everyday life
and therefore to increase overall satisfaction from
cataract surgery. |
