| Summary: |
The acute endophthalmitis
is very serious complication of cataract surgery. The
consequence of acute endophthalmitis touch on all of the
eyeball structures but the most characteristic concern
retina especially in its center. The study group was
patients who was operated by means of
phacoemulsification method of cataract who suffered from
endophthalmitis later. The acute intraocular
inflammation after cataract operation leads to
morphological retina changes that are noticeable in OCT
but not always to the evaluation by means of
ophthalmoscopy. |
