| Summary: |
Epiretinal membranes are
usually asymptomatic fibrocellular proliferations on the
surface of the retina. The decision to recommend surgery
(pars plana vitrectomy with ERM and/ or ILM peeling) is
based on patients’ symptoms and visual acuity. The aim
of this paper is to summarize current indications for
the treatment, different methods of surgery including
intraocular dyes, as well as to evaluate its
complications and outcomes. |
