| Summary: |
The purpose of the paper
is to present and summarize the history, evolution and
future developments of the vitreoretinal surgery. We
focus our attention on the details of microsurgery tools,
types of the operative field illumination and
vitreoretinal surgery procedures. In addition to above
mentioned we also disclose the latest Pars Plana
Vitrectomy (PPV) indications and new PPV operation
procedures such as sheathotomy with ILM peeling, radial
optic neurotomy, ILM transposition and manipulations in
glaucoma. |
