| Summary: |
The history of ophthalmic anesthesiology has started in antiquity. It is closely related to the development of ophthalmology, enabling its progress in surgical and diagnostic procedures. During centuries many different substances, drugs and methods were developed to relive the pain, however, up to now it is hard to decide which one is the best and most suitable for ophthalmologic needs. Individual choice adequate to the clinical image and surgeons skills still seems to be the most appropriate option |
