| Summary: |
Corneal topography is an
essential tool in our daily clinical activity. It is the
standard of care in all invasive and non-invasive
keratorefractive procedures. Corneal topography has many
clinical applications such as allowing practitioners to
screen the patients pre-operatively to detect any
abnormalities and post operatively to follow-up on their
progress. Corneal topography is an excellent tool in
fitting rigid gas permeable contact lenses. Its software
features many displays such as dioptric plot in sagittal
and tangential mode, Wavefront measurements of high and
lower order aberrations, elevation heights of the cornea,
detection of Keratoconus, and asphericity of the cornea
(p, e, Q) just to name a few. |
