| Summary: |
In the paper we presented
possibilities in correction patients with presbyopia
with classic progressive lenses. Lenses application was
discussed according to the construction and utilitarian
properties. Dynamically developing progressive lenses
allow patients using one pair of glasses for all
distances. Due to the construction properties we can
divide those lenses into following subgroups ”hard”, “soft”,
“multidesign”, and “professional” applying appropriate
model for individual patient. In the application process,
except precise ophthalmologic examination, extremely
important is also patient’s history and recognizing his/her
expectations concerning way of using glasses for work.
It is done to avoid changes created so far by patients’
habits, since the essence of the progressive lenses
application is to such select lenses, to knowing
patients limitations and lenses utilitarian properties,
to improve visual work conditions without changing
patients’ habits. |
