Corneal and conjunctival
fluorescein staining is widely used in clinical practice
and research as an indicator of the epithelium damage.
This exam should be performed in every patient wearing
contact lenses – for new applications and also during
each follow-up visit. The authors present practical
indications for yellow filter use during slit lamp
examination, which significantly enhances the contrast
of any fluorescent staining observed with the cobalt
blue light. |
