| Summary: |
The aim of this paper was
to describe symptoms, signs and diagnosis of
Acanthamoeba keratitis in contact lens users and present
major risk factors for Acanthamoeba keratitis
development. The authors emphasize the importance of
lens hygiene and role of patients’ compliance with
specialists’ recommendations. This paper also presents
official statement of ECLSO (European Contact Lens
Society of Ophthalmologists) on recall of Complete
MoisturePlus and recommended precautions to wearers of
soft contact lenses. |
